I started swimming competitively when I was 7 years old, continued through high school, contemplated swimming in college, but decided not to because of a shoulder injury. I decided to switch gears by becoming a swim instructor instead and haven’t looked back. The need for triathlon swimming advice arose via Caitlin and Ashley, and I became inspired to create this page to help anyone who is interested.

If you have specific swimming questions, please send them to me via my contact page or to ryan [at] greensforgood [dot] com. I will be devoting certain posts to swimming and the links will be listed here for your reference. To get you started, take a look at my two guest posts on Healthy Tipping Point.

Swimming Tip Series

Disclaimer: I am offering my swimming advice as a courtesy to anyone who is interested, based on my 16 years of experience in the sport. I am not a certified swimming coach, nor do I claim to be. I have been teaching children how to swim through private lessons and organizations for the last 7 years under the supervision of certified instructors and parents. I am not responsible for any injuries you may encounter while swimming.
