I’m very aware of the hundreds of thousands of animals that are in shelters and need a loving family to bring them home. Before Harvey, the only option in our mind [...]
Is it strange to only crave liquids when you’re stressed and grieving? The only thing I’ve wanted in the last week and a half is the Cherry Chocolate Bomb Shake, water, seltzer water and juice. I’ve had this every single morning:
Don’t worry, I am eating solid food but it feels more obligatory than anything right [...]
I thought this was interesting and wanted to share with you:
Ashley was just here to give me a hug and talk before I took her to the airport this afternoon. I actually begged to take her because I needed the distraction and need to practice leaving and coming back to a Harvey-less apartment. That action, [...]
Last Saturday when we were visiting family in Sarasota, Evan, Harvey and I were outside on my parent’s patio enjoying the spring sunlight. Harvey was sitting across from me on his own lounge chair when suddenly he jumped to my chair and froze. I quickly looked down at him and saw a wing sticking out [...]
I have never posted on Ryan’s blog before, but I wanted to reach out and thank you all so much for your kind words and thoughts during this hard time for us. Harvey has moved on to the next place and I know he is running, chasing all kinds of bugs, and sitting in warm [...]
We had to say goodbye to Harvey at approximately 6:45 PM tonight. I’ve never been through something this tragic and sad, so bear with me as I take some time to miss our sweet, handsome, loving boy. Words cannot describe what this feels like. We loved him more than anything.
Here’s what I just found out:
Harvey’s spinal tap was unsuccessful. They weren’t able to get more than one drop of spinal fluid (because he’s so tiny), which won’t help them diagnose him. On top of this, he’s having a very difficult time waking up because he’s so weak, and from a possible complication with whatever [...]
Last night we needed some time just for the three of us and there wasn’t anything monumental to mention about the day since I worked and Evan looked after Harvey all day.
We decided last night that Harvey would sleep in our bed like he normally loved to do before he got sick. After setting up [...]
Hi everyone! Sorry for the late night updates each day. We’re feebly trying to maintain normalcy around here but, as you can imagine, it’s not really possible. I’m having a hard time getting anything done because my body is emotionally worn out and physically worn down. I’m dehydrated from crying and haven’t had much of [...]
