Girl Time with Ashley

Gonna make this quick! I got home from work an hour later than I expected tonight and I’m exhausted! I had such a fun day though.

It started with Teeccino

I had three cups throughout this chilly Florida day! Plus, it’s insanely good.

Then I threw some Buckwheat Crispies (Ani Phyo) into the dehydrator (they soaked all night). I will use these for raw cereal.

And quickly made some Millet Bread French Toast on my way out the door to my weekly doctor appointment.

This time with maca on top too. Maca has a weird, earthy sweet flavor that I can tell I will like eventually but it’s very different at first.

When I got home from the doctor I got some work done before Ashley came over for some lunch and girl time! We split Chocolate Cherry Bomb Shakes with spinach to start.

I pulled the Buckwheat Crispies out of the dehydrator…

And made a HUGE mess! Whoops.

Then Ashley and I whipped up some raw taco salads! Romaine lettuce with raw taco meat (Ani Phyo), cheezy hemp nacho sauce, guacamole and salsa.

Perfect meal. Loaded with veggies, healthy fats and omegas. Yum, yum. Kept us full for HOURS.

I love hanging out with Ashley because we have such similar interests and talk about food and yoga non-st0p. It’s amazing! I really enjoyed showing her around our kitchen a little bit more since she’s always so interested in all of our stuff!

Dinner was at work today. A* and I picked it up from Infusion Tea. I got the Pesto Panini with a side of bean salad. I crave carby things at night ;-) Love it!

That’s it from me tonight! I’m hoping to have an active, healthy weekend with Evan (rather than being lazy bums around our apartment like we tend to do on weekends). See you soon!

I’m not sure if you’ve already posted about this and I’m sure other blogs have but I have NO clue how a dehydrator works! That’s a reader request :-) (unless you’ve already posted about it! If so let me know).

Glad you had a fun time with Ashley. That salad looks so pretty! Very colorful.

I bet those buckwheat crispies will turn out nicely. I hate trying to work with buckwheat in dehydrators, though…they go EVERYWHERE. Haha. I have some sprouted buckwheat that I need to use, maybe I will try to find a raw granola recipe.

Seriously, they were all over the bottom of my dehydrator too. Crazy!

Hey Ryan! Do you think you’ll ever go 100% raw?

Thanks! I got it as a graduation present from my roommate! I believe she purchased it from a really cool store called Ten Thousand Villages. Google it, I think they have a website. :)
