Hey again! I’m feeling much better (mentally) and am ready to come back to my poor blog that I’ve been neglecting. In light of the new year, I wanted to set out some goals I have for 2010. Most of them I’m already currently working on, but why not make it more official? Here we go…
Greens for Good’s Goals for 2010 (in no particular order)
- Get our kitten, Harvey, healthy: He’s had a rough 9 months of life (4 with us) that has included many infections, lots of medicine, low white blood cell count, tooth surgery and more fleas than we’d like. Hopefully we can get caught up on the never-ending issues and things will get better for him next year. (Christmas picture!)

-
- Give Greens for Good a makeover: I love change, so I’m really excited about this one.
-
- Purchase a new car: As you guys know, I’m currently without a vehicle of my own, so this is more than necessary in 2010.

-
- Eat more raw foods. I love how raw foods make me feel and I’m excited to continue incorporating more of them into my diet.

-
- Put on a successful HOBY seminar with my friends, Callyn and Justin, in May: This is ongoing but I’d like to dedicate more time towards it than I have been.

-
- Keep our apartment cleaner: We have a bad habit of creating a disaster zone during the week and cleaning on the weekend when we have the extra time. I’d like to dedicate a little chunk of time each day toward certain chores so we don’t have to spend our entire weekend cleaning.

-
- Get my Master’s Degree! If all goes well, I should be graduating December, 2010.

-
- Visit New York City and try the amazing vegan places I read about all the time! One of my HOBY friends is getting married in NYC this summer, so hopefully that will be a prime opportunity for this one!
-
- Maintain my yoga practice. I got permission from my doctor to go back to yoga (though I have to take it easy).

-
- Keep improving my relationship with Evan. Just like everyone, we have our great aspects and our not-so-great aspects of our relationship! I love him dearly and I’m hoping 2010 will be another amazing year for us.

-
Have a happy and safe New Year’s Eve everyone! Ev and I are off to Tampa to do some celebrating with friends! Catch ya later!

Those are some great goals… I’m sure you’ll be able to accomplish them! And I’ve said this before, but Harvey is so lucky that you guys adopted him and are willing to do whatever you can to fix his health problems! Lucky kitty! (Btw, I’ve had pretty good luck with Advantage and Frontline Plus for cats to get rid of fleas. You have to use it for a few months in a row to make sure the eggs don’t hatch down the road, but it REALLY works. It’s a little costly, but totally worth it in my opinion. We had a slight flea problem, and got rid of the fleas in just a day or two. Just make sure that you put it on every single month– even every 28-30 days.)

Thanks! We tried Frontline Plus and it didn’t work, so he is on Advantage now and it seems to be helping. We also put Borax (laundry stuff) on our carpets over the weekend to help tame the little beasts. So far, so good!

I like how your goals are not ALL about you (obviously some have to be!). Any changes we make for the better should positively affect those we love!
