Resurfacing With Holiday Excitement!

2 papers, 3 projects and 2 exams in five days. I’m here. On the other side of finals week and I survived! I’m exhausted just thinking about it. First semester of graduate school? [a proud] CHECK!

I’m so thankful to be done. Truly, truly thankful. I feel like my mind has been completely clouded in the last few weeks and the sun has finally come out. It’s wonderful. I can resume the things I enjoy now, at least until the end of my next semester, of course!

Even though I finished my finals Friday night at 10:30 PM, I’ve been going non-stop this weekend after sleeping in on Saturday morning. Yesterday was spent cleaning and doing laundry, while I got ready for a Holiday Bash and vegan potluck at my local yoga studio. Ashley and I went together and enjoyed a fabulous feast amongst a fun group of yogis.

[Ashley's plate was showed the variety of foods a lot better than my separated 2-3 servings] All vegan, even the Mac ‘n’ Cheese.

After the lovely potluck, we were invited into the studio to watch a hilarious yoga documentary called Enlighten Up. Have you seen it? It was great! I loved what Calvin and Theresa, the owners of College Park Yoga, did with the studio. It was so festive, in a very yoga way.

After CPY’s holiday bash, I stayed up late last night and made a raw, vegan chocolate cheesecake for the Holiday Blogger “Linner” that was held this afternoon. I cut them into sweet bites and I think everyone liked them a lot!

The lovely Sarah hosted this party at her house and it was fun to get together with some of my favorite bloggers! We all live in Orlando but don’t get together nearly often enough. Ashley, Katy H., Meghann, Kelly, and Katy W. were also there to spread the holiday cheer!

Everyone brought their dogs along too (and I was having lots of puppy envy!).

I had some of Meghann’s vegan soup with Ashley’s quinoa [X2!]!

Some warm apple cider

And one of Sarah’s vegan pumpkin cupcakes! Yum!

In our little gift exchange, I went home with some cheerful socks and Sharkie! Thank you, Kelly!!

Gosh, I have SO MUCH to catch you up on. Come back tomorrow to see what I got for my birthday last week! And maybe even what I got Evan for his birthday (remember it was 2 days after mine)! Later this week…Christmas decoration photos! So much, so much…

Hope your weekend was wonderful! Have you been to any holiday parties yet this season?

See you soon and thank you for your patience through my final exams!

Looks like you had fun! Glad you finished your first semester of grad school. I am a graduated of USF, myself. What program are you in?
I plan on starting grad school (nursing) in the fall, pending my acceptance.

Do try! I really couldn’t believe how easy it was to make (no baking?!) and how incredible it tasted.
