Hello from the highways of North Carolina! I’m currently writing this post about an hour outside of our destination, New Bern, where we will be spending Thanksgiving with my mom’s entire side of the family. She has 10 brothers and sisters, so you can imagine how big our family is! I can’t wait. I haven’t been on a trip to New Bern in over 5 years. A lot has changed since then!
Anyway, I have a couple of things I want to mention on tonight’s post. The first announcement being that I’ve been blogging for one year now! My official anniversary date was November 19th, but I failed to post that day (go figure). I’m very excited that I’ve been completely immersed in this amazing community for over one year now! I started out a chasedaylight.com, so if you’ve never visited, I encourage you to do so. I’ve come such a long way!
The second announcement involves the little project I’ve been working on since the beginning of November. I mentioned it a few weeks ago (see Announcement #1) and kind of left you hanging about it. The process has taken awhile, but I’m finally ready to announce that…
I’m the new Orlando Vegan Food Examiner!
I know there are a lot of bloggers taking up Examiner positions right now, and I honestly wanted to be apart of the experience when I found out about it. Not to jump on a bandwagon though. See, I don’t write much about vegan topics on my blog because that’s never really been the focus of it. I like to show that I maintain a relatively normal lifestyle through my vegan diet (which I do) without pushing out information that people may not be looking for. I don’t want you to feel like I have an agenda on this blog, so I focus primarily on my eats and my life.
While I absolutely love this and wouldn’t run Greens for Good any other way, I have a strong desire to share my vegan outlooks, tips and discussions with those who are interested. That’s why I decided to write for the Examiner. I wanted an excellent medium through which I could share these topics and I am ecstatic to be writing about them now. It’s very fulfilling, even if no one reads what I have to say. Just to get it out there feels wonderful.
I’ll be posting articles periodically from now on and will let you know when there’s a new one available for your reading pleasure. These articles will be significantly shorter than my blog posts and different in style. I hope you’ll support me in this new endeavor and check out my Examiner articles. I prepared three in advance of this announcement so you could get started with lots to read!
Whew, feels good to get that out there! I’m grinning from ear-to-ear just thinking about it. Let me know what you think…
I’ll be back later with an update on my traveling day!
P.S. If you are interested in the Examiner and have questions, feel free to email me: ryan @ greens for good dot com or use the contact form (the contact form goes directly to my email just the same, so don’t be nervous about using it!)

Love the articles! I’m an Examiner as well and it’s great to have another outlet for writing other than a personal blog. I’m from Kentucky but as a fellow (but still new) vegan, I will be keeping up with your articles, I need all the advice I can get

I’m so excited to read more about veganism! I don’t particularly like meat (or the factory farming system) and I’m lactose intolerant, so I’ve considered working towards veganism but I don’t know enough about it yet. Awesome idea!
