Please Meet My Personal Assistant

in Breakfast, Lunch

I’d like to introduce to you my personal assistant. She follows me around everywhere and keeps track of my blogging ideas and to-do lists. She keeps me in line! And did I mention she’s quite pretty? Hm, actually, that could be taken out of context, so please don’t repeat that last comment ;-)

I don’t know about you, but I’m constantly thinking about my blog. Always. I was getting to a point where I’d think of a great idea, title or photo setup and forget it when I finally sat down to write everything out. So my little notebook comes with me everywhere now. I write down thoughts and ideas in it, and I’ve kept better track of the things I was previously forgetting. When a million things are flying through my head everyday, this simple little act keeps some of it from getting away.

Case in point, I wrote down the topic for this post a couple of weeks ago:

Do you have a similar system such as a notebook or application on your phone to keep track of blogging ideas?

I was woken up at 6:00 this morning by Harvey, who ran into our room howling about how cold it was. At the time the warmest spot in our house was under the covers, but he refused to lay there. Wide awake and unable to fall back asleep, I climbed out of bed and curled up with him on the couch with lots of covers, the french press, breakfast and my laptop.

Picked up my french press at Infusion Tea. It’s about a cup and a half (maybe 2?) and has a mug on the bottom for convenience. I love it! Made my decaf organic coffee with So Delicious Hazelnut “Creamer”(really amazing).

Now I’m at work (random Saturday I agreed to) and just finished my pretty typical work lunch of an Amy’s burrito with yellow corn chips and salsa. I think I’m done with this combo for awhile.

I get off in about an hour and then I’m headed to Whole Foods because we literally have no food. No veggies. Only apples for fruit. We won’t make it through the week if I don’t go to the store. Should be fun…I think a wheatgrass shot or a fresh juice might be in order as well. Later on, I’m having some girl time because Evan is studying all weekend for an exam at work. SO looking forward to it!

Have a great day and don’t forget to enter my DivaCup Giveaway!

Ryan, that is a good good good idea. I always think of great ideas for posts and then forget them a few hours later. Also, that’s my favourite breakfast – waffles with nut butter and jam.

I honestly never think about my blog until I sit down and write out my posts. That’s a great idea though!

I have a “personal assistant” notebook, too! Lots of on-the run blogging ideas come about for most of us, I think :)

Also- your handwriting is super cute- and of course, so is Harvey.
