**I’m forgoing my normal post for an awesome giveaway announcement! Be back tomorrow!**
The DivaCup
Ladies, this one is for you! Gents, if Auntie Flow makes you squeamish, come back and visit G4G later
- Are you tired of spending big money every year on tampons and pads?
- Does the thought of chemically-loaded cotton hygiene products in your body make you a little uneasy?
- How about the detrimental effects to the environment for using disposable feminine hygiene products?
None of these things sat very well with me. I was also sick of packing my purse with tampons, running out at inopportune times, and having to worry about changing them all of the time. All of these reasons sent me searching for an alternative that a) wasn’t expensive, b) was safe, and c) was convenient. I remembered coming across a menstrual cup in the past and decided to look into it more.
I found the DivaCup at Whole Foods, purchased it, and patiently waited for my next visit with A.F.
The DivaCup is available in two, simple sizes:
- Model 1 (pink box): For women under 30 years old who have never delivered vaginally or by caesarean section.
- Model 2 (blue box): For women over 30 years old and/or for women who have delivered vaginally or by caesarean section.
I was surprised by how easy the DivaCup was to use! Depending on your flow, it can be changed up to every 12 hours. I never experienced any leaking and went about my normal activities while using it. I even went to yoga a couple of times and had no issues! You can’t even feel it, which was the most surprising part. More importantly, I never had to worry about having disposable products with me. I always had everything I needed and it was quite liberating. I love the DivaCup!
The DivaCup’s expert, proprietary, patent-pending features make it comfortable and assures ease of use and reliability. Perfect for traveling, running, biking, hiking, dancing, camping, swimming, diving, scuba, yoga, extreme sports and more…
- Latex-free, BPA-free, plastic-free
- No dyes, colors or additives
- Comfortable, reliable
- Clean, convenient, easy-to-use
- Worn for up to 12 hours at a time

Wow, I was just laughing about this product on Sunday. Debating if I would ever use it. It’s pretty pricey but I’ll try anything once! I am definitely tired of carrying tampons in the purse, ill give it a try!

This sounds right up my alley! I was just thinking the last time I had a period how hard I work to keep from ingesting chemicals, so why am I still using feminine products with them? Thanks for the giveaway!

I would love to try the DivaCup for all of the reasons you listed at the beginning of your post! I’ve been considering buying one for a while now, but I never seem to have the extra cash when I remember.

I can vouch for this one. IT’S AMAZING. TMI- I used to get AF BAD… nothing ever worked… This works 100% of the time, i’ve never had a leak, not even once. It’s easy, you don’t even have to think about it all day long (or night) I highly recommend it, I have recommended it to every girl I know!
And there is no real waste… good for the environment. It does take awhile to get used to, but just be ready to laugh at your self, and then it will become a piece of cake!
Woah.. apparently I’m long winded tonight!!

Wow, this product sounds amazing! I would love to try it and reduce my environmental waste once a month–how great!

I would like to try this! I have heard about this but have never seen them anywhere!

I’ve seen mentions of this product before and would love to try it. I’m up for cutting down on the money spent and the waste accumulated from using pads and tampons. I think it’s a great idea!

I have heard so many great things about Diva Cup and I have a completely open mind about it! I always see it at the store but can never seem to justify the expense. Logically, it would pay for itself in 4-6 months(ish) but I just haven’t taken the plunge. I also love that I would feel safe using it and not worry about putting weird chemicals in my body. (What are the ingredients in tampons… most packages don’t have it listed…and for a good reason…it’s probably scary). Thank you SO much for the opportunity!

I’ve heard about this product before, and I’m so intrigued! It would be wonderful not to have to worry about having tampons on hand, and I’m all for less waste!

I would love to try these. A.F. has recently been hitting me with a vengence. There is nothing I can do to slow her down. I have tried everything I can think of to keep her under control. I willing to give these a go.

Honestly, the diva cup is a little daunting, but I would like to give her a try. It could be great. I used to use the nuva ring so I dont imagine I would have any difficulty. I’m used to regular everyday tampons, but Change can be good, right?

I’m definitely intrigued! I’m trying to green my life in many ways, from eating locally to minimizing packaging on my birth control (hello IUD, though that might have had something to do with cost as well).

Actually, count me out, I just read that diva cup + IUD can have bad results. Evidently the suction can sometime pull the IUD out which sounds rather painful.

I have wanted one forever but especially since I heard that it can help reduce cramps!

I have been wanting to try the Diva Cup. I’ve heard really good things about it from a friend who uses it. How lovely to not have to buy tampons and throw out all that waste!

I have had years of issues with both tampons and pads. Either I get stuck waddling around with what feels like a diaper between my legs, or I end up having leaking issues and make a huge fool of myself. The Diva Cup supposedly is such a great change from both, and I’d love to try it. That being said, I’m hesitant to spend a bunch if it just doesn’t work out?
I don’t have a period. I have a series of exclamation points. The amount of products I go through in an average month are rough on the budget, and I hate to think of how much I contribute to the local landfill.

Not entering since I have one but I just wanted to say that the Diva Cup is actually amazing and life changing. The fact that you don’t have to carry supplies with you and worry about changing them multiple times a day is great
Plus it much better for the environment and your wallet.

I have been wanting to try this for awhile! I use Instead which is similar to this, but disposable. I would love something that creates even less waste!
[Reply]
I have been looking at that and never at the courage to try it. Just fear of the unknown I guess. I would LOVE to try it out now that I have heard about your experience!

Wow, I’ve never heard of anything like this. What an awesome idea! I was just complaining to my roommate the other day about all the money I waste on disposable hygiene products and how unfair it is that women have to spend so much over a lifetime and men are let off the hook completely. I’d love the chance to try out an alternative.
Thanks for the giveaway!
