He Thinks I Eat Like a Man and Apparently I Almost Do

in Breakfast, Dinner

Goooood morning! How is everyone on this lovely Monday? I’m feeling pretty charged for the day despite my minor setback at our apartment gym this morning…

All I Wanted Was to Run on the Treadmill!

I woke up bright and early to head to the gym for a nice run on the treadmill. I’m not comfortable running by myself here yet, though I would prefer to be running outside. I had the whole morning planned out around this run and was super disappointed when I arrived at our “24-hour gym” this morning and it was locked. I looked around for anyone who could unlock it but the office was closed, so I headed back to the apartment and got working on breakfast for me and Harvey. I think he was happy that he got breakfast a little earlier than planned :)

Breakfast

I decided to combine my Green Monster and carb components of my breakfast (which I normally space out over the course of the morning) today because I have to be at work unusually early at 9:30 AM. Today’s GM had rice milk, spinach, raspberries, 1.5 frozen bananas and 1/2 scoop of Pomegranate Mango Amazing Grass.

I don’t know why I don’t use this cup more often! It kind of reminds me of the ocean with all of that green mixed in there.

Filled to the brim with green goodness.

On the side I had a single waffle with almond butter and cinnamon on top.

Harvey looked on (his tummy was full already) as I snapped photos of my food.

So I decided a mini photo session was in order.

He Thinks I Eat Like a Man and Apparently I Almost Do

I wanted to leave you with this awesome dinner plate Evan made for me last night. When he asked me what I wanted for dinner I replied “sweet potato, black beans, and banana peppers” (combination courtesy of Meghann) When I make this, I pile everything into the sweet potato. Now, I much prefer the way Evan made it last night:

Yes, that is a whole sweet potato, a whole can of rinsed black beans and a perfect amount of banana peppers. And, yes, I almost ate all of it. SO GOOD! You must try this!

I have to leave for work in 10 minutes! I have a trip to the grocery store planned for after work since I’m getting off relatively early. See you (late) this afternoon!

Our apartment has a 24 hour gym, too, but we have a code we can punch in to use it. Maybe you can go for a run after work? :)
