in Lunch

A note from Ryan

I hate Ecto right now. I wrote a huge blog post and it deleted all of it after I hit “Publish”. Really, really frustrating. I’m going to attempt to rewrite it right now but maybe with not as much detail. Stay tuned!

Hi everyone! Yesterday turned into a really eventful day! I have so much to share!

I enjoyed the new PB & J Larabar flavor at Mitchell’s Coffee House….YUMMMMMM….

The size seemed smaller than normal though…maybe it got compressed or something…

When it came time for lunch, there was only one place I could possibly go in Lakeland! You may have seen Grassroot on Tampa blogs like Jenna’s and Courtney’s, but there is a Lakeland location too! Isn’t their building just so cute?!

I got Sabrina’s Favorite Sandwich. It was like nothing I’ve ever had before and sooo rich and delicious. Yum…..

I had an iced hibiscus tea on the side. Very refreshing!

Evan got off of work early at 3 PM and when I went to pick him up, I found out that his brother Derek and Derek’s girlfriend Dana were coming into Orlando to hang out with us! I have to admit…our apartment was not in guest-friendly shape due to my recent ordeal with the flu, getting back from Washington, DC and Evan’s crazy work schedule. We took the afternoon to clean it up and we felt SO much better. I also took the opportunity to get some pictures to finally show you all of our new place!

Office!

Everything got cleaned….EXCEPT our office! Our office had turned into the dumping grounds of our apartment. Everything that doesn’t have a place gets thrown in there and we just haven’t gotten a chance to organize it. We’ll get to it soon enough, but until then it remains like this. Oh well…we aren’t perfect!

Derek and Dana got here at 9 PM and we decided it was a Pat O’Briens Dueling Piano Bar type of night!

I had about half of this Fuzzy Leprechaun. I got to keep the glass too! I have a Hurricane glass from here too, so it will be a nice addition to my collection :)

I think that’s a pretty good post for now! I hope you enjoyed all of the random things we’ve been doing since yesterday morning!

This afternoon we’re off to the Millenia Mall and Whole Foods with Derek and Dana. They’ve never been to WF and Evan and I never say no to a request to go there…we’re such foodies sometimes! See you tonight!

1. You and Evan are SO cute together. :)
2. I love your home! When we moved into our current apt. we just nicknamed our office/ guest bedroom our “crap room” lol. We’re downsizing to a 1 bed though, so I don’t know what I’ll do without my craproom!
3. Did you eat alone at Grass Roots? You should’ve called me if you did – I totally would have come out and met you there!

Hope you’re having fun at Whole Foods. :)

Aww, thanks! I totally ate at Grass Roots alone! I didn’t plan on going that day though. I wanted to wait until I could go with Evan for the first time, but once I was actually hungry and thinking about places to go, I couldn’t pass it up. I might be in Lakeland again this week…do you want to try to get together? It will probably be Wednesday or Thursday.

The raw sushi at Grassroots is my favorite thing EVER! The owners buy the vegan bread for the restaurant at the health food store where I work. They are the sweetest couple with an adorable little baby. I’m glad you enjoyed it! Your little kitchen bar area is adorable. It looks like the perfect place to relax and enjoy a low key meal. BTW… welcome to the area!

mm that sammich looks intense! I LOVE your apartment, your kitchen looks so homey and happy (very important!). Do u like living so close to “big city” stuff? Like Millinia mall? (stupid question)… I know I love being a few minutes from a crate n barrel, anthro and just about everything else I could possibly want… even if its only just for browsing! I hope you went into anthro today.. cause I was there yesterday… makes me feel “at home”. haha. Miss you tons!

I LOVE living so close to big city stuff like the Millenia Mall and even the theme parks. The other night when we went to City Walk, I commented to Evan that I couldn’t believe we lived so close to there now! It’s great and I don’t think I could move back to a smaller city now! Miss you too!!!

Just wanted to say…Thought it was great to see you visiting lakeland and hanging out at Mitchell’s. I grew up in Lakeland (I now live in Orlando) and used to hang out at Mitchell’s all the time.
